Preseason All-State (2021) Spotlight: C Evan Waggoner

The annual Invite Only Preseason All-State Showcase for the top 2021 prospects is coming up Saturday February 29th at Roundtripper Sports Academy in Westfield, IN. Leading up to the event we will highlight some of the top prospects to be in attendance.

Scouting Report

9/13/19: C/1B Evan Waggoner (Bedford North Lawrence HS, IN), an uncommitted 6-foot-2, 190-pound left-handed hitter, notched multiple hits on the evening for the Indiana Bulls 2021 team. Utilizing a simple approach with a relaxed setup, the left-handed hitter works slightly uphill through the zone with the ability to hit line drives to all fields.

6/11/19: 6-foot-2, 185-pound C with a 90 mph exit velocity. Big, left-handed hitter who starts slightly bent over with his feet even; uses movement in his hands during load for timing. Has an upward swing plane; gets to balls out in front. Behind the plate, has a slightly narrow and upward setup; shows a clean transfer and consistent feet; pop time of 2.02-2.11. Has tail on throw downs; demonstrates arm strength; makes accurate throws; 76 mph position velocity. Recorded a 60 time of 8.10.
