2012 was a successful campaign for the Strong Vincent Colonels, culminating with an 11-8 record, a second place finish in the region and a District 10 playoff appearance. Fast forward to 2013 and a repeat performance is going to be difficult. Six starters from last year's roster have graduated making this season a potential rebuiliding year.

Coach Hawk Williamson will turn to senior Derek Brady, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound C/RHP to supply much of the offensive fire power. Brady will also act as the No. 1 starter in the Colonels pitching rotation when he is not behind the plate. Coming off a 2nd Team All-Region selection in 2012, Brady is ranked No. 216 in the PA Class of 2013.

According to Williamson, this year's team may lack experience but they have a great work ethic. Williamson feels like all members of his roster will have to make contributions in order for Strong Vincent to match the success of 2012.
