We begin our summer spotlight series as we highlight an uncommitted prospect, that is primed to have a big summer. Today we look at 2019 C William Chaz Poppy from Sylvan Hills High School. Poppy is a physical player with advanced arm strength. He plays for Sticks Baseball Academy 2019 in the summer.

Poppy is a 6-foot 180-pound catcher with a large frame and a physical build. He shows big time arm strength throwing pop times between 1.91 -2.01. He is sound receiver maintain proper glove angles with soft hands. He shows adequate technique blocking but does have some stiffness. Offensively he attacks the baseball with fast bat speed and an uphill swing. He produces exit velocity up to 86 mph. He starts with an athletic stance, he uses a leg kick as his load stride combination. He has a feel for the barrel and pullside power. Overall Poppy is a high level catching prospect with big time arm strength.
