Will Gilmer (Sikeston) is a 6-foot-1 175-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri's 2018 class.  He recently attended the Top Prospects Games - St. Louis and had a good showing at the St. Louis Invitational this winter.

Curveball has 11-to-5 action with sharp break, showed feel for 77-78 mph change up, near fastball arm speed, arm side run.

Here is a closer look at the recruiting process for Will Gilmer

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future? If so, what schools, and how recently?

Gilmer: I don't really look for a certain thing in a school other than a spot on the team. I would love to be able to play my freshman year and want an environment that allows me to improve my pitching.

PBR: How did you do your junior year? What were your high school statistics? And how did your team do?

Gilmer: I had 7 wins and 2 losses in high school ball. I had an ERA of .700. I had 60 K's in 43 innings pitched.

PBR: What are you goals for your senior season?

Gilmer: I have a lot of goals for my senior year. I want to make it to State. I also want to touch 90mph. Another goal of mine is to increase my FPS% up to 75%.

PBR: What travel team do you play for? Are you playing fall ball with a team?

Gilmer: I currently play for the 2017 St.Louis Gamers Blue. I'm also playing fall ball with that team.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?

Gilmer: I wrestled my freshman and sophomore years but I stopped because I wanted to start gaining weight.

PBR: What are your ACT and GPA?

Gilmer: I have a 24 ACT but plan on taking the test a few more times. I also have a 3.6 GPA
