Jeff Valera, MIF, R/R, Pope John Paul II HS, 2016

At 5-foot-11, 170-pounds, Valera has an athletic frame and shows flashes of being a high-level prospect.  The rangy middle infielder has the footwork, quick hands, and smooth transfer that makes his game look effortless at times.  At the plate, Valera features a line drive swing with occasional gap to gap power .  His quick hands defensively carry over to his offensive game as well in producing good bat speed.  With two years of high school baseball left to mature, Valera projects well at the next level.
