The Prep Baseball Report Pitcher Showcase and Analysis at The Kastle in Mandeville, LA will take place on Saturday, January 7, 2017.

The open showcase is geared towards pitchers in all high school classes.

This is another new event to the Prep Baseball Report winter calendar. The event is still accepting registrations.

Check in for the event will begin at 8:45 AM and the event will kick off at 9:00 AM. There will be an instructional talk with Jack Cressend, Los Angeles Dodgers National Pitching Crosschecker & Player Development Pitching Analyst, who will discuss topics like recruiting/scouting, strength & conditioning, velocity development, etc. Pitchers will then throw extended bullpen sessions, where they will receive hand-written evaluations, and video from multiple angles.

Two of the top ranked 2018 right-handers are signed up to attend in Bart Lane Thomas (Walker HS) and Jacob Hammond (Ouachita HS). Thomas is currently ranked No. 16 in Louisiana’s 2018 class and has run his fastball up to 86 mph with a loose, clean arm action. Hammond is a physically imposing, 6-foot-3, 225-pounds, and currently ranked No. 18 in Louisiana’s 2018 class with a fastball that has touched 88 mph.
