Norwin kept their undefeated season alive moving to 12-0 on the season. Nick Kolat had three hits and drove in five runs for the Knights.

Peters Township 9,  No. 2 Bethel Park 8
Bethel Park has gotten to the No. 2 ranking by winning all the close ones this year.  They just haven’t been able to solve Peters Township.  For the second time in as many meetings this season, Peters Township knocked off the No. 2 team in the state.  Earlier in the season they had won 6-4.

No. 3 Hopewell 4,  Ambridge 2
Hopewell (15-1) stayed hot with a 4-2 win over league rival Ambridge.

No. 4 Conestoga (IDLE)

No. 11 Liberty 3,  No. 5 Nazareth 1
In what was probably the most anticipated matchup in the state today, No. 11 Liberty knocked off No. 5 Nazareth 3-1.  James McCarthy went the distance on the hill for the win allowing just four hits.  McCarthy also went 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead the Liberty offense.

No. 6 Malvern Prep (IDLE)

West Allegheny 5,  No. 7 Blackhawk 4
Blackhawk (13-2) fell for the just the second time this season.  They now trail Hopewell by two games in the league. Anthony Carter's double in the 11th inning knocked in Shea Beaumont with the game winning run for West Allegheny.

No. 8 Cedar Crest 7,  Hempfield 4
Cedar Crest (12-3) led from beginning to end, but Hempfield made things interesting with two runs in the sixth and one in the seventh. Logan Fullmer picked up the win with help from Cameron Mathis who came on in the sixth for the save. Zach Smith went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI to lead the Cedar Crest offense.

No. 9 Northern York 1 , No. 16 Shippensburg 0
In a battle of two of the top teams in the state, Northern York was able to scratch across a run in the first inning and make it stand up.  Both teams were limited to four hits in a classic pitcher’s duel. Justin Charles went five strong innings for the win, Rusty Simmoneau entered in the sixth to pick up the save.
Travis Ott was the hard luck loser for Shippensburg yielding just four hits in six innings of work.

No. 10 South Williamsport 8, St. John Neumann 1
Five first inning runs was more than enough for South Williamsport (12-0) to cruise to its 12^th win of the season. Brandon Gantz went all seven innings of the hill, giving up just four hits.

No. 12 Salisbury 10,  Palisades 0
Salisbury (15-1) road a two-hit shutout on the mound by Tyler Cooperman to a five-inning victory. Cooperman and Charles Rogers both doubled and had 2 RBI to lead the Salisbury offense.

No. 13 Hempfield Area 14,  Gateway 3
Hempfield Area (11-3) made short work of Gateway, winning in five innings.

No. 14 Upper St. Clair 16,  McKeesport 6
Upper St. Clair (13-2) continued its push towards the top of the WPIAL and the state rankings with another impressive offensive display.

No. 15 Penn Charter (IDLE)

No. 17 Shaler 6,  Butler 3
Alec McElroy went two-for-three with two RBI to lead the Titans (11-3) to their seventh win in the last eight games.

No. 18 Twin Valley (IDLE)

No. 19 Hershey 4, Palmyra 3
Hershey moved to 12-1 on the season with an extra inning win over Palmyra.  Tim Edwards came on in relief of Jack Stover in the seventh inning to pick up the win. Palmyra (12-7) starter Tray Baker was the hard luck loser going seven innings plus in the loss.

No. 20 Saegertown 12,  Conneaut Valley 0
Saegertown (14-0) remained perfect on the season with another shutout. The Panthers needed six innings to pick up their 14th win. The pitching staff has given up just five total runs on the season.
