On Monday, we headed to Franklin High School for their district matchup with Summit.  Franklin exploded for 3 runs in the first and rode that to a 5-1 victory.  Read up on standouts below:

BLAKE MONEY / RHP / 1B / SUMMIT, TN / 2020

FB (90-94), CB (76-80), CH (81-83)

-          5 IP, 8 H, 5 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 9 K

LSU commit.  Big bodied righty shows elite present velocity, throwing just one pitch under 90 of his 46 fastballs and touching 94 three times.  Bulldog frame, tall, physical w/ well-proportioned present strength throughout, close to mature.  Monster physically.  Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ to ¾ release from the first base side of the rubber.  Super quick arm, whippy.  Simple, repeatable delivery w/ some effort in the throw.  Angle w/ downhill plane.  FB shows some natural sink when down, straightens out when elevated.  Breaking ball is a slurve, flashes tight rotation and proper shape.  Learning to stay on top of the baseball consistently and finish the pitch.  Pitched heavily off of the CH on this day.  Slows body slightly, arm-slot drops to ¾ at times. CH shows occasional short fade and sink.  Pounds the zone, rare to see this combination of present velocity and strike-throwing ability of his 3-pitch arsenal (68 of 92 for strikes on this day).  Has an idea of how to pitch to both sides of the plate with his FB.  Projects to command.  Generated 23 swing and misses on 50 swings (46 %), including 11 of 23 on the FB and 10 of 23 on the CH against an older HS team.
