PBR partners with Vs. Cancer as its official charity of the All-American Game

Prep Baseball Report is excited to announce Vs. Cancer as the official charity partner for the inaugural PBR All-American Game.

Prep Baseball Report continues to raise the bar with its All-American Game, which will feature top players from the Classes of 2024 and 2025 squaring off against each other on the field. The game will be Sept. 23 at American Family Field in Milwaukee.

That will extend to the partnership with Vs. Cancer, a program of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. All-Americans will also go head-to-head against childhood cancer by raising money for Vs. Cancer. Each player will have his own fundraising page, and they'll compete individually and as classes.

Vs. Cancer is an ideal partner for the game, as the organization was started by a baseball player and pediatric brain cancer survivor.

"We are honored to have Vs. Cancer as the charitable partner for our All-American Game," PBR President Sean Duncan said. "It's meaningful not only because we have worked with Vs. Cancer for years, but also because we're doing much more than just handing someone an oversized check.

"The players will be active participants in this partnership, which will be part of making the All-American experience something they will remember forever."

Dave Mays, the Director of Vs. Cancer, said the partnership is a perfect fit with Vs. Cancer's efforts during September, which is national childhood cancer awareness month.

"On behalf of all the staff, volunteers, supporters, and most importantly the families that we serve within our Vs. Cancer program and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, we say thank you to PBR," Mays said. "We are grateful for this opportunity to not only raise much-needed funds to support childhood cancer research and the families that we serve, but also the increased awareness for childhood cancer.

"Thank you to all the players, PBR staff and leadership, donors and supporters for joining us in the fight versus childhood cancer.”

From the main fundraising page, you can also navigate to the individual fundraising pages for each player. In the days leading up to the game, each player will use his social media networks and other tools to raise money for the fight against pediatric brain cancer.

Pediatric brain cancer is the deadliest childhood disease and most commonly diagnosed childhood cancer. But while the need for research and family support resources is growing, funding for both is shrinking. The money raised through the PBR All-American Game will fund lifesaving pediatric brain cancer research, family support resources, and child life programs across the country.
