Recruiting coordinators and college coaches are very busy people. In my 15 years as a recruiting coordinator I cannot tell you how many times I was asked after our season, “What will you do with all of your time now?” Parents and baseball players understand the time demands as much as anyone else, and I am sure that your friends are shocked by the time demands on your schedule as well. As you dip into your recruiting process remember the time demands a college coach is working with and work to fit your early recruitment into those demands.

ON THE HUNT: TOP PROSPECTS FROM MN & NJ PRESEASON EVENTS

Recent events in New Jersey (New York) and Minnesota produced some top level talent, and the seven pitchers featured in this week’s, On the Hunt, all have premium talent and are going to be major, impact players at the next level. Some have a strong chance to be two-way players at the next level, but their capabilities of contributing at a high level are undeniable. Featured in the list are two left-handed competitors with big velocity, three 2020 right-handers who will be moving into PBR’s National Rankings, and two right-handers with plus arms who will be moving up in PBR’s soon to be released 2019 overall rankings.
THE HOTLIST: 2019 OVERALL RANKINGS RISERS

Updates have been made to the 2017 and 2018 Overall Rankings. Next week, we will bring you an update to the 2019 Overall Rankings. In the meantime, here are some sophomores on the rise.
Micheal Bean, RHP, St John's Shrewsbury HS, MA
Bean, a 6-foot, 200-pounder, pitches out of a 3/4 slot and has a small hip coil at the top of his leg lift. His fastball has touched 84 mph with good arm-side run. The breaking ball rolls at times, sitting at 69. The changeup has improved, sitting at 78.
