On the Hunt: NCTB Fall Classic
After fantastic experiences in the Golden State at the Boras Classic and Area Code Games PBR will be headed back to California for NCTB’s Fall Classic.
The elite tournament featured 15 of the top teams on the west coast, and was hosted on the campus of the University of Pacific as well as the Billy Hebert Complex. A jam-packed schedule with plenty of talented players in attendance made for an excellent experience for the players and all of the college coaches in attendance who are hoping to see their future program changers.

UNCOMMITTED SENIORS - WHAT'S NEXT
Brandon Hall
North Carolina Director of Scouting
As we near the end of October and the fall season, many players in the Senior class are working to firm up their college plans. This can be a stressful time as teammates may have made their commitments, the early signing period is approaching, and Division I coaches will not be on the road until March 1st as their Dead Period approaches. Seniors that are still working their recruiting process should know and understand that there are still a lot of college baseball players around them that have yet to commit. College coaches are still working to finalize their rosters for the next fall.
In late-August, Recruiting Essentials looked at some commitment trends, comparing the current high school players to their peers in the 2017 class. The commitment trends article will run again around the early signing period. The plan behind the articles is to give players, and their families, a clear look at the real timeline facing baseball recruits. In the state of North Carolina, in the 2017 class, PBR tracked 337 players that committed to play college baseball. To date, in the 2017 class, in North Carolina, 173 players have committed to the school of their choice. This means that based on those numbers, approximately 50% of the players in the 2018 class, that will receive an opportunity to commit, have yet to commit. The question is, what should these players be doing now…
UNCOMMITTED 2019 INFIELDERS
Nathan Rode and PBR Staff
The Hotlist is examining the top uncommitted 2019 prospects by position. While the speed of recruiting seems to be redlining, there is a ton of talent still available for college programs, not to mention that there is no reason for any players to be wringing their hands over committing just yet. So far, we’ve highlighted pitchers and catchers. Now, we take a look at the available infielders.
Vincent Bianchi, SS/RHP, Red Bank Catholic HS, NJ
Bianchi has a long, wiry-athletic build at 6-foot-2, 160 pounds. He runs a 7.12 60 and hits from a wide, neutral stance. He creates gap-to-gap power with extension through the zone. His hands are whippy and loose and he finishes with some lift in his swing. Defensively, he throws 88 mph across the infield. He’s rangy and athletic in the field with smooth glove work and a quick, easy exchange. He also gets on the mound and is up to 85 with his fastball.
