With the Rams trailing 4-3 in the 5th inning of the 6A State Semi-finals 2023 grad Branden Floyd stepped up and shot on over the left field wall for a three-run homer to take the 6-4 lead. Then in the top of the 7th Floyd sent another big fly over the fence for a solo shot to make it 8-4 that would play big as Edmond Memorial sent three across the plate in the bottom of the 7th before Owasso shut the door in an 8-7 win. With Floyd's heroics in the semi's, this shot Owasso into the State Championship game and an eventual title. Floyd earned the PBR 6A State Tournament Most Valuable Player and will be a big cog in the lineup for the Rams in 2023.
