MICKLETON – the inaugural PBR Summer Classic got off to a great start today featuring some top underclassmen in the state and Pennsylvania as well.

The first game featured Miller Baseball of Philadelphia and All Out Baseball. The scoring got started right away in the top of the first inning, when All Out’s 2019 C/INF Jared Hernandez (Cherry Hill West HS, NJ) led the game off with a double, and eventually was brought home on a ground out by 2018 INF Colin McCormick (Bonner-Prendergast HS, PA).

The score would remain 1-0 until the bottom of the 4th when Miller baseball plated four runs. Griffin Wittenberg and Connor Duddy both walked. With one out, Eli Kushner singled in a run. With the bases loaded and two down, Hunter Fries walked to score a run and David Hammond singled to bring in two more.

All Out would answer with two in the 5th highlighted by a double from Connor Holm and a 2 RBI single by Andrew Lerario. In the 6th, INF Nikko Capone walked and stole second base and was eventually brought in on a run scoring single by McCormick.  With the game tied at 4, neither team would score again as the tournament time limit restricted another inning from starting.
