Central Arkansas Christian, defeated Watson Chapel 11-9 in extra innings to open the South Bracket of the PBR Metro Tournament and the 2017 season.

Watson Chapel trailed 9-3 headed into the bottom of the 7^th and scored 6 runs and had the bases loaded without recording an out. CAC made quality pitches and played sound defense to space the jam with 2 outs made at the plate, push the game to extras.

2017 C Tanner Weber led the 9^th off with a single, 2018 Callum Hathcock bunted him into scoring position followed by back to back RBI singles by 2019 Eli Demarco and 2019 INF Hugh Miller, to give the Mustangs enough run support to pull out the victory.

2019 Preston Shockley picked up the win pitching shutout innings in the 8^th and 9^th.

2018 RHP/C Garrett Dennis stood out for Watson Chapel on the mound, he pitched 3 2/3 inning with 6 strike outs allowing just 2 hits and 2 earned runs.

Offensivley Watson Chapel was paced by 2018 MIF Gianti Turner who was 3 for 5 with an RBI and a run scored. 2017 MIF Braylen Hence also picked up 3 hits on the day.

For Central Arkansas Christian 2017 C Tanner Weber anchored the line up going 3 for 4 with a walk, run scored and an RBI. Solid production from the rest of the pounding out 12 hits.

Central Arkansas Christian will play tomorrow in Conference double header vs Robinson High School and will be back in action Wednesday at 4:30 vs Pulaski Academy in Tournament play.

Watson Chapel had a quick turnaround as they competed against Pulaski Academy in the night cap of day 1.
