PBR Mailbag: Thoughts On Donnie Everett, Jake Latz

It was a good weekend for summer baseball with the Music City Classic in Nashville featuring tons of top prospects, plus smaller tournament in other parts of the country showcasing some big names. Executive Director Sean Duncan was at the Music City Classic and will be posting notes in the near future. In Dallas, RHP Riley Pint (St. Thomas Aquinas HS, KS) touched 97. He’s just a rising junior. In North Carolina, the Evoshield Canes beat Baseball U to win the Summer Challenge. You can read more about some of the action there on The Rode Report.
Now, let’s get to a couple questions…
What were your thoughts on RHP Donnie Everett (Clarksville HS, TN) at the Tournament of Stars and where do you think he might go in the 2015 draft?
Everett's start at TOS was one of the most anticipated for me as I hadn't seen him yet and heard good things about his ability. He has a strong, durable frame at 6-foot-2, 220 pounds and pitches with an up tempo delivery. He has a bit of a head snap, but not really enough to worry me.
