We’ll recap the action from the Missouri squads throughout the week and highlight some players that, on a day-to-day basis, impress our scouts during the gameplay portion of this tournament. Below you’ll find a handful of 2026 and 2027 prospects that popped on day two.
DAY TWO TAKEAWAYS
+ OF Stone Marion (North Point, 2026) continues to show as one of the top prospects across our three Missouri Junior Future Games squads. Marion recorded a hit in a tie with Team Florida, working on the barrel to the opposite field as well. He floats around the outfield with confidence and a certain presence to him on defense, profiling as an asset there in the long run.
+ INF Carson Twellman (Troy, 2026) delivered a clutch double to right field in this contest and also drew the game-tying walk to cap off an impactful offensive performance for Team Missouri on the second day. Twellman, who’s seen time at shortstop throughout the week, reached a peak exit velocity of 88.5 mph on Tuesday’s workout.
+ Arguably the top offensive prospect thus far, C Logan Studer (St. Louis University, 2026) was on the barrel with authority to both fields in this look. A strong, sturdy backstop, Studer’s knack for hard contact is advanced for his age and the ease in which he’s generated said juice is impressive as well. He’s a quality defender behind the plate, chesting up balls and consistently working.
+ 1B Cooper Montgomery (St. Dominic, 2026) delivered a key RBI hit late in the game that helped avoid a loss. Montgomery, who's a 5-foot-10, 170-pound left-handed hitter, has flashed advanced feel for the zone and a knack for the barrel throughout the weekend.
+ After popping on the mound on the first day, OF Rocco Marriott (Platte County, 2026) showcased his offensive capabilities in Team Missouri’s second game. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound incoming freshman blasted a deep double to center field in a key moment, displaying the inherent bat strength he showed at Tuesday’s workout. There, Marriott ran a 7.06 60-yard dash and squared his hardest ball up at 91.1 mph.
+ INF Jaymeson Forest (Gateway Legacy Christian Academy, 2026) has a high ceiling at the plate attached to a physically advanced 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame. A left-handed hitter, Forest juiced a hard line drive the other way in his final at-bat for his first hit of the tournament. Forest also clutched up defensively at third base, making a handful of key plays that kept the opposition off the board.
+ LHP Caden Kern (McCracken County, 2026; KY) limited hard contact and induced weak ground balls throughout his start on Friday. The 5-foot-9 southpaw used a three-pitch mix to keep hitters off balance, twirling five strong innings in his start.
+ OF/LHP Austin Jones (Lindbergh, 2026) went 2-for-2 at the plate with a double and an RBI for the other Team Missouri squad on Friday. Jones also added three punchouts on the mound over an inning and two-thirds.
+ Three players showed well for the Missouri 13U team: 1B/RHP Brandon Ott (DeSmet Jesuit, 2027), C Luke McAtee (2027), and INF Cole Chambers (2027).
