We’ll recap the action from the Missouri squads throughout the week and highlight some players that, on a day-to-day basis, impress our scouts during the gameplay portion of this tournament. Below you’ll find a handful of 2026 and 2027 prospects that popped on day one.
DAY ONE TAKEAWAYS
+ We’d heard positive things about OF/RHP Rocco Marriott (Platte County, 2026) heading into the event and the 6-foot-3, 185-pound incoming freshman displayed one of the higher ceilings in Missouri’s 2026 class. Marriott took the mound for Team Missouri on Wednesday morning, pumping his fastball up to 86 mph and holding 82-85 mph throughout. The ease that he works with, and the athleticism nestled within, both equate to a noteworthy upside on the hill. A multi-sport standout, Marriott will certainly be a follow throughout the week and as he embarks on his high school career.

6-foot-3, 185-pound frame. FB T86, say 82-85 mph. Easy, upside athlete. @ShooterHunt | @prepbaseball pic.twitter.com/TDq13eECkV
+ Working in relief, RHP Jake Brettschneider (Francis Howell, 2026) flashed high-upside stuff on the bump. The 6-foot-2, 165-pounder sat in the upper-70s with his fastball, topping at 80 mph. The separator for Brettschneider was his aptitude to spin his slider, ripping it off with confidence and conviction in any count. Set to throw later on in the week, Brettschneider is certainly a name-to-know from the ‘Show Me’ state.

Lanky 6-foot-2, 165-pound frame. Pitched in the upper-70s, T80 mph. Snapped off several advanced sliders in the high-60s, too. @ShooterHunt | @prepbaseball pic.twitter.com/ESjVJ77WDE
+ OF Stone Marion (North Point, 2026) impressed in multiple aspects throughout the game. Hitting at the top of the lineup, Marion tallied two hits in clutch situations and served as a table-setter for Missouri’s offense. He also covered ground and played a quality center field defense. Expect Marion to arise as an upper-tier name in the state’s incoming freshman class.
+ Despite not getting into the hit column, C Logan Studer (St. Louis University, 2024) looked every bit the part of a high-follow offensive prospect. Oozing confidence and moxy at the plate, Studer turned on a ball for a loud lineout to left field in his first at-bat, drawing a walk in his second. Studer’s defensive abilities behind the plate showed at Tuesday’s workout, averaging pops in the 2.03-to-2.09 with accuracy around the bag.
+ Defensively, few have caught our attention like C/RHP Drew Parsons (Jackson, 2026), who gunned the only runner that attempted to steal on him today. A lanky 5-foot-10, 150-pound athlete, Parsons is an apt receiver as well, constantly working behind the plate in his three innings of defensive work. At the plate, Parsons generates hand speed and whip from his levers, turning on a ball to the pull-side in his second at-bat that jumped off the barrel. He’s a follow on the mound as well and he’ll toe the rubber as the week progresses.
+ INF Austin Penrod (Creekview, 2026; GA) delivered the biggest hit of the day for Missouri’s squad, elevating a deep double to left field that scored two runs and ignited a clutch rally. A compact athlete, Penrod’s sure-handed actions have him slotted to stick on the infield in the long run.
+ Hitting at the top of the order, OF Gage Dugan (McCracken, 2026; KY) effortlessly flicked a base hit to left field in his second at-bat of the game. Dugan repeated a short, quick right-handed stroke at Tuesday’s workout as well, translating it to gameplay yesterday.
+ For the other Team Missouri squad, RHP Dylan Curtis (Francis Howell, 2026) dominated in a night-cap win. The 6-foot-3, 140-pounder held his opposition scoreless for five innings of work, scattering two hits in the process. Curtis pumped his fastball up to 84 mph early on and, given the physical projection left to come on his lanky levers, has a relatively high ceiling on the hill.

+ INF Anden Hyde (Lutheran St. Charles, 2026) produced at the plate for Missouri’s 14U squad, bringing home a pair of runs in a victory. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound right-handed hitter displayed well advanced physicality for his age on Tuesday, barreling balls up at an 89.4 mph average in BP and peaking at 96.5 mph. Hyde’s strength translated to the infield portion of his workout where he fired an 86 mph max on his first throw of the day.
+ MIF Ethan Carswell (Blue Valley, 2026) started his week off strong with an impressive workout Tuesday and carried that momentum into Wednesday’s gameplay, tripling early for Team Missouri. A sure-handed and savvy defender on the infield, Carswell’s capable of impacting the game in multiple ways. He’s rapidly cementing himself as a high-follow prospect in Kansas and will certainly be one to watch as the event progresses.
+ For the 13U squad, RHP Max Partney (2027) threw well despite an early morning loss to Ohio. Partney limited hard contact and kept a talented lineup at bay throughout his time on the mound, pitching in the low-70s with his fastball.
