PBR IA COMMITMENT SPOTLIGHT
PBR: Why did you choose Iowa Western CC?
PATINO: I've heard a lot of good things about to program and coaching staff. When I arrived on campus for my visit, the coaches were super nice and welcoming, and the school just felt like a perfect fit for me.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
PATINO: I was considering Northeast CC, and had interest from Augustana and South Dakota State, and North Dakota State University.
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop, with him?
PATINO: In Council Bluffs, when my high school team was playing Council Bluffs AL. I talked to them after the games and then kept in contact with them and gotten closer with them ever since.
PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
PATINO: The culture of the program and all the success they have achieved.
PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
PATINO: My parents and my high school coaches really push me to get out and find a way to get exposure.
PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
PATINO: The recruiting process wasn't hard, I knew that if I just went out and played the way I know how to, everything would be fine.
PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
PATINO: I don't know what they have planned for me, but I know that I am expected to work for a spot as soon as I get on campus.
PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
PATINO: Going 3-3 with 3 home runs.
PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
PATINO: Ben Probst from Dowling Catholic.
