The one thing that can’t be debated about OF Quentin Holmes (Monsignor McClancy Senior HS, NY) is that he can flat out fly. A top-of-the-scale runner, the Mississippi State recruit wreaks havoc on opposing defenses with his speed on the bases and can glide in center field to track down just about everything hit his way.
Scouting Report
9/2016 - Made USA 18U National Team.
6/23/16 - Continues to impress here. On Wednesday, Holmes did it with his bat and speed; on Thursday it was his defense and speed. The common denominator being his speed.
6/22/16 - Was one of the biggest winners of the day. The ultra-athletic 6-foot, 173-pound Mississippi State recruit went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored while patrolling centerfield for the United squad.
2/18/16 - Barely touched the ground in his 60-yard dash as he glided to a 6.39 and 6.44. He then showed a smooth, easy swing in BP and made solid contact.
10/25/15 - Went 1-for-3 with a single. On a couple groundouts, despite being slow out of the box, he got down the line in 4.3 seconds.
