hamlton stays at #1
"Hamilton is shaping up to be another premium high school arm coming out of the state of Oregon. With a large frame, long limbs, and good shoulders, there is a ton of room to project as he matures and fills out. Mechanics are simple with a drop and glide windup that he mostly repeats and a 3/4 slot. The arm is clean and whips out front with minimal effort. Upper 80’s fastball and will occasionally grab low 90’s when he needs it. Commands a mid-upper 70’s slider and shows the ability to manipulate it off the plate. Shows good feel for his straight change and throws it with good hand speed to add deception to the pitch. Given his athleticism and arm speed, it won’t take much for there to be serious jumps in velocity as well. With plenty of time to develop, he has a real chance at being one of the top arms on the West Coast for the 2025 class". - Alex Ross, Area Scout
huge summer for de brun
Slater de Brun CF / LHP / Summit, OR / 2025Rankings StateRank: 2 / POS: 1
De Brun was the most alluring player at the PBR Future Games as he carried the torch for the fact that “undersized is the new 6’4”. A left-handed hitter whose strength builds from the ground up, a strong base from the 5-foot-9, 171-pound outfielder allowed him to generate surprising pop at the plate. The left-handed hitter went 3-for-6 with a triple and a home run which was blasted well over the right field wall in walk-off fashion for a Pacific Northwest team that would end up going 2-1 on the week. The confidence that he carries himself with is built with a hard-working mentality, and along with elite athleticism (6.7-runner with burst), provides the look of a player who might hold instant impact at the next level. Routinely tracking pitches with ease, the Oregon native was able to slow things down at the plate before getting off aggressive cuts in all counts with slight uphill intent. The force generated from the lower-half allowed his quick hands and compact strength to shine with each swing. Only amplifying his future value, de Brun’s closing speed erased multiple extra-base hits in the outfield, and he looked the part of a future shutdown center fielder. Overall, it was a breakout performance from one of the Pacific Northwest’s next prospects to follow. |
Shooter Hunt on Mark Wiepert...
Mark Wiepert C / 3B / Wilsonville, OR / 2025"Wiepert, an Oregon native, found success at the plate against some premium arms in going 3-for-8 with a walk on the week. Built with a lumberjack frame that includes defined, natural strength throughout a 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame, the right-handed hitter fearlessly got off big swings from a crouched setup that included a late coil of the hands with some electric bat speed. Still raw in the approach, the thunder in the barrel should keep him as a close follow coming out the Pacific Northwest, and with more seasoning and high-level at-bats, there is a chance that his future power potential is discovered more quickly." - Shooter Hunt |
Andrew Mhoon on the rise...
Andrew Mhoon SS / 2B / Sprague , OR / 2025Rankings StateRank: 8 / POS: 1
One of the top ranked position players still available in the state. Mhoon lands in the Top 10 after showcasing his plus speed as well as his abiltiy to produce contact at a high level while playing a premium position on defense. Athletically built with short levers and pound for pound strength. Mhoon can impact the game in several ways. Uncommitted. |
