With the 2nd annual ProCase taking place this Thursday at Dan Lang Field, home of the University of Toronto Blues, we take a look at some of the prospects who will be participating from the 2017 - 2019 grad classes.

2017 Seniors

Landon Leach, RHP
Leach has established himself as the top amateur arm in the country with a fastball that has been up to 96 mph this spring to go along with his slider that continues to improve and a changeup that he has shown feel for in the past, although it has not been used that often with his appearances with the National Team. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound right-hander is slated to throw three innings at the ProCase, and will take the hill around 4:00 pm this coming Thursday.

Adam Hall, SS
Hall has been on the radar since he has been 14 years old, with a tool set that sets him apart from the rest of the 2017 class in Ontario. An elite runner with a knack for hitting and an arm that has been clocked at 90 mph across the infield, the Texas A&M commit has shown he can play at the next level with the success he has had against pro pitching while competing with the Junior National Team. The quick twitch athlete who has room to add size and strength looks to be the top Canadian amateur position player taken in this years MLB draft in June.

Cooper Davis, OF
Davis has been on the same path as Hall with a tool set that was recognized early as a 14 year old. An elite runner who plays a premier position, Davis plays the game with confidence and a swagger that you like to see. Prototypical lead-off hitter, his ability to make lots of contact and use his speed make the Vanderbilt commit an intriguing prospect leading into the June draft. Davis will also surprise you here and there with more power than one would think as the lefty bat can jump on mistakes and leave the yard to his pull side.

Dondrae Bremner, SS
A Cincinnati commit, Bremner is an athletic shortstop with smooth actions defensively and a left-handed bat that is short and shows promise at the plate. Bremner runs well (6.70 runner) and has the tools and projection in his frame to suggest the ceiling is high and he is going to continue to get better.

Noah Skirrow, RHP
Skirrow will be one of the starters on Thursday as the Liberty commit has been up to 93 mph this spring when he travelled to Arizona with the Langley Blaze. Skirrow uses all three pitches and the curveball has become tighter with a few added mph over the winter. A competitor on the mound, Skirrow will get a long look from scouts leading into this June.

2018 Juniors

Noah Naylor, C/SS
The top prospect in Ontario for 2018 and ranked 13th overall in our PBR rankings, Naylor is a special talent and looks to be a high prospect for next years draft. The Texas A&M commit has the ability to get it done defensively behind the plate or in the infield while he runs a 6.78 and shows an advanced feel in the box with the ability to hit and hit for power. Naylor has the makings of a five tool player and could very easily be a first round pick in the 2018 draft. He will catch and play infield this Thursday at the ProCase.

Eric Cerantola, RHP
What they look at 6-foot-5, 195-pounds, Cerantola has low mileage on the arm as he is a top hockey player in the province as well and a OHL draft pick of the Owen Sound Attack. The big right-hander has been in the upper 80’s with his fastball while using an overhand curveball with depth and 12/6 shape. A member of the Junior National Team, Cerantola is uncommitted and has the chance to be one of the top arms in the country heading into next year’s draft.

Ben Abram, RHP
The 6-foot-8, 235-pound Oklahoma commit will be on the mound for his second appearance at our ProCase this Thursday. Abram has the size and pitchability, along with three pitches and a fastball that works between 85-88 mph. One of the biggest pitchers in the country, Abram creates good angles and can locate with all three of his pitches. Will be scouted heavily heading into the 2018 draft.

2019 Sophomores

Jaden Brown, SS
Brown is an excellent athlete with quick twitch actions and speed to his game as the shortstop is still somewhat raw but the tools grade out as a big time player. Brown has impressive bat speed at the plate, while the strength he has gained will improve his running time and arm strength in the infield. Still young, Brown has the makeup and tools to be an impactful representative of Ontario if the development continues for the 2019 draft.

Dasan Brown, OF
Brown is an athletic player who is an above average defender in the outfield right now. A 6.6 runner with arm strength and carry, mixed with bat speed at the plate, he should fair well this week competing against players two years older than him. One to watch for the future.

Noel McGarry Doyle, OF
Doyle is a 6-foot, 195-pound outfielder who hits from the left side and looks like he could be a college running back with strong, sturdy frame and a 60 time a year ago of 6.90. The bat is still crude but the upside to Doyle with all his physical and athletic ability make him a very interesting prospect. The 2019 grad should raise some eyes this Thursday and put himself into the conversation as one of the top 2019 prospects.
