September has arrived, which means one thing...our first fall event of 2017 is right around the corner. Our Eastern New York All-Star Games at Marist College will be held this Sunday September 17, 2017 featuring 65 players split into 4 teams. Today we look at the first baseman that will be in attendance and what to expect:

 

Eastern NY All-Star Games / First Base

 

Arthur Long RHP / 1B / Fordham Prep, NY / 2019 Rankings  State Rank:119 POS:28 Big frame at 6-foot-3 205 pounds. The right handed hitter will also take to the mound.

 

Donovan Rhoden 1B / 3B / Ballston Spa , NY / 2019 Full bodied at 6-foot-1 250 pounds, the right-handed hitter also plays for the strong Adirondack Heat program.

 

Jorge Oropeza 3B / 1B / Greece Athena, NY / 2019 Rankings  State Rank:161 POS:18 Primary position is 3B but he'll slide over to 1B this weekend. Balanced approach with some lift in his swing.

 

Nathan Owens 1B / RHP / Sauquoit Valley, NY / 2021 Looking forward to seeing the young 1B who checks in at 6-foot-0 170 pounds. A Baseball U of CNY product.

 

Tyler Cannoe 1B / 3B / Scotia Glenville, NY / 2019 Another big frame in this group at 6-foot-3 195 pounds making his PBR debut.

 

Max Luke 3B / RHP / Croton Harmon, NY / 2020 Rankings  State Rank:30 POS:3 Hanging around for the afternoon session, the hard hitting lefty will showcase his ability over at 1B.

 

Bryan Jerez 1B / RHP / Christ the King , NY / 2020 NYC product who will be working out for us for the first time.

 

Tyler Jennings 1B / Liverpool, NY / 2020 Long and lean at 6-foot-3 170 pounds. Moves well around the bag with a quick release.
