2017 RHP Jacob Williams committed to Oklahoma Wesleyan University. Williams is the No. 22 ranked player in the 2017 class and is ranked the 10th right-hander in the class.
He attends Bentonville High School. Williams came onto the our radar in the summer of 2015 as a participant in the Top Prospects Games. He continued to improve as he pitched for Bentonville High School in the spring of 2016. This past summer he pitched for Perfect Timing. Below is the last report we have on Williams.
Jacob Williams, RHP Bentonville HS
Williams is a 6-foot, 170-pound right-hander with a medium frame and an athletic build. He works from a H3/4 arm slot with a short quick arm. He repeats his mechanics consistently with a distinct balance point and a tall finish. His fastball works 84-86 up to 88 mph. He compliments his fastball with a 12/6 curveball with late action and depth. The curveball is thrown 72-75 mph with depth. Overall Williams is solid right hander with a short quick arm and an advanced feel for the breaking ball.
