Down 11-6 going in the fifth, Bixby was able to mount a terrific comeback against talented Westmoore arms. Offensively, for Bixby, Seminole State commit Nic Swason lead the way going 3-for-4 with four RBI’s and a walk. Smith also posted a three hit day for the Spartans. For Westmoore, it was the middle of the order doing most of the damage. Oklahoma commit Braxton Bohrofen was 1-2 with two walks and three runs scored. NOC Tonkawa commit Cale Francis was 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI’s, and two runs scored.

Hunter Freese was undoubtedly the player of the game in this one. Freese went all seven allowing just one run on five hits, striking out seven and walking just one against the high powered SME offence. An RBI single by Wade Elliott and Kaden Marshall scoring on a pass ball is all the offence Freese would need.

Joe Balak was the hero in the eighth with a walk-off double. Norman struck first, scoring in the top of the first and third innings. Moore answered in the bottom of the third and fourth. Norman threatened again in the fifth, but Josh Detweiler gunned out a base runner going for a triple and Drew White cut down a would be base stealer to end the threat. Offensively, for Norman, Cade Horton was 2-3 with two doubles.

Landon Grissom was able to finish out a pitcher’s duel, allowing one run on five hits, striking out 12 and only walking one. Javier Ramos tossed a solid six innings of his own, giving up two runs, one earned, on five hits, striking out five, and walking five. Ramos was also 2-for-3 at the plate. Ethan Jackson lead the way at the plate for Stonewall, going 2-for-3 with a run scored.
