The Oklahoma Class of 2017 continues to impress with top end talent and depth throughout as we enter into the spring season. The class currently boasts three players in the PBR Draft 100 and nine more in PBR’s Overall Rankings. Both numbers may rise in future updates. The top spots remain the same in the edition of the rankings with each player proving they belong. SS Ryan Vilade (Stillwater HS, OK) still leads the way as he continues to show elite strength and ability to barrel the baseball. Vilade went 3-for-4 with a home run and showed off his arm a few times in a three-team, eight-inning scrimmage last week. Ranked No. 22 in the country and No. 2 in Oklahoma is OF Conner Uselton (Southmoore HS, OK). Uselton has not only continued to show the tools and ability to hit that keep scouts coming back to almost every game, but he plays the game with passion and energy.  LHP Mitchell Stone (Deer Creek HS, OK)—yet another Cowboy recruit—stands at 6-foot-9, 240 pounds and runs his fastball into the low 90s with excellent command. He checks in at No. 3.

With the list expanding from 175 to 205, there are some notable additions to the list including Jacob Bailey, Jake Womack, Nick Sunday, and Brett Erickson. There are also players who have rocketed up the list since the original installment including Riley Metzger, Luke Quick, Eric Gutierrez, E.J. Taylor, Dominick Trevino, and Landon Lord.
