The Buckeye State is filled with high-level baseball prospects throughout each corner of the state. The 2018 class has commitments all across the United States, from Vanderbilt to Miami to Kentucky to Missouri to Nebraska and many more colleges across the U.S. When looking at the 2018 rankings, you will see plenty of Ohio colleges littered throughout all of the commitments as well.

Mackenzie Wainwright OF / Saint Edward, OH / 2020LAKEWOOD - Before ever playing a game in high school Mackenzie Wainwright had colleges showing an interest. “I went to my first couple PBR events and before my first high school game my coach said Ohio State wanted to see me play,” Wainwright reflected. “I called them after and they wanted me to visit but they had a game-time change so they moved the visit to this year.” Many other schools came calling on Wainwright over the next year, but the Lakewood St. Edward’s sophomore decided to make Ohio State his future home with a commitment to play for the Buckeyes. |
