We would like to thank all who participated in PBR Ohio's 2017 Northern Ohio Prospect Games. This was a great opportunity for the class of 2018-2020 prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase.

In the coming weeks, we will be adding and updating profiles for each of the players in attendance, including complete analysis and video.

Dugout Chatter: 2017 Northern Ohio Prospect Games

2018 Class

Phillip Glasser, SS/RHP
Report: I've seen him play four times now. He kind of gets overshadowed by Tallmadge teammates Jared Burick, Zach Boyd, and Seth Gergely, but he is pretty solid himself.

Beau Foster, RHP/1B
Report: With two triples on the day, Foster was one of the two Olentangy Liberty guys that impressed me. He had a great plate approach, driving the pitches he liked. On the mound, I thought his stuff was pretty solid.

Michael Osmond, LHP
Report: Probably the hardest throwing LHP from day 1 (hit 84). Had a fantastic change of speed on the CB (71-73) and had all 5 of his batters out front with 5 Ks. If he can put on some velocity by next spring he could be a guy to watch for as a late bloomer.

Nolan Quinn, 2B/OF
Report: Walsh Jesuit product, recorded a 92 exit velo and ripped a triple on one of the harder hit balls on the day. Played a very clean 2B, specifically a 4-3 double play he came up to get the good hop.

2019 Class

Carl Pennington, SS/2B
Report: He had a great day at the plate with a triple and an RBI Single. Looked smooth defensively making all of the plays his way. Hard-working kid from all accounts.

Spencer Stanton, 1B/LHP
Report: Defensively, I don't remember too much about him. Offensively, he would have been impossible to forget. Serious name to watch in my opinion. I've heard his Ohio Elite team is loaded and should be a team we get coverage on later this summer.

Jacob Lezon, 1B/OF
Report: Big frame at 1st (6-2 190-pounds) with solid footwork. Decent speed for someone that big (4.59 Home to 1st). Didn't see enough of him at the plate.

2020 Class

Davis Burick, SS/3B
Report:
Probably my favorite 2020 prospect on the day. He played very fluently, never looking like anything took too much out of him. He had two extra base hits and ran a 4.4. I really want to see this kid play again to get a full assessment on him because I think he has some huge upside.
