OK Future Games: Stats and Standouts
August 7, 2019
The Prep Baseball Report host the annual Future Games this year at LakePoint just outside of Atlanta Georgia. The future games features the top uncommitted 2022 and 20221 grads by position from every state in our 43 state coverage area (and Canada). The position players from each team worked out in a pro showcase in front of over 300 college coaches. The pitches threw live in games as the elite teams matched up for the next three days. Get all the numbers and rosters from the Future Games, here. Though they did not play for Team OK, Jonah Mahan (Team Select) and Jaxon McTyre (Team Missouri) also preformed well at the Future Games. Click the link above to check out their numbers.
Video will be added to each players profiles in the coming days.

Game 1 Standouts vs Team Texas:
Jackson Jobe, SS/RHP, 2021 Heritage Hall: It was all about the breaking ball in Jobe's two innings of work against Texas. The 6-foot-2 180-pound right-hander was throwing breaking balls with slurve shape and spin rates that would have been off the charts in the big leagues (3000-3300). He used it to punch out 3 and get himself out of a bases loaded jam in the first. The fastball wasn't bad either, sitting 86-89 in the first.
.@PBR_Texas won the game vs. @PBR_Oklahoma, but 2021 RHP/SS Jackson Jobe (Heritage Hall HS, OK) generated quite the buzz with his 3000-3200+ rpm SL at 78-79. FB ranged between 86-89. Athletic 6-2/180 frame. Primary SS (for now).@ShooterHunt @prepbaseball #PBRFutureGames2019 pic.twitter.com/DZ7z5qXHsB

Brody Green, 3B, 2021, Owasso: The 6-foot-4, 170-pound frame already possesses wiry strength and has plenty of room to add more size. In the game, the right-handed hitter used his compact stroke to blast a 91 mph fastball for a pull side double and OK their only 2 runs of the game. Green also continued to prove he is an advanced defender at 3B making a backhand play, stepping on the bag and throwing a strike to first.

Body Brooks, RHP, 2021, Tuttle: The right-hander normally ranges in velo between 82-90 changing speeds regularly on the fastball with pinpoint command. On this night, Brooks was turned up, sitting 88-90 and touching 91 on his first pitch of the game. Brooks also showed a high spin rate slider at 73-76 and an above average changeup at 74-75 to complement his sinking fastball.
Parker Coil, LHP, 2022, Edmond Memorial: The 6-foot-2, 165-pound projectable left-hander may have not thrown the top velos at the Future Games, but arguably had the best outing. Coil mixed a 71-72 mph curveball with depth and a 72-74 changeup with big fade in any count with an 80-83 mph fastball. Coil punched out six hitters in two innings and worked around an outfield error.
Game 2 Standouts vs Team Louisiana
Gunnar McCollough, RHP, 2021, Coweta: The physically impressive 6-foot-3, 215-pound and muscular right-hander did what we have become accustomed to seeing out of him with the fastball sitting 85-87 touching 89 and filling up the zone. McCollugh did show something new in this outing, a slider that sat 72-75 with some late depth. McCollough tossed two scoreless innings with three punchouts.
2021 Gunnar McCollough (@GunnarMcCollou1) from Coweta was strong through 2 innings to start the game for Team OK featuring a fastball that sat 86-87 T89. #PBRFutureGames pic.twitter.com/4aIxV8tmks

Kade Shatwell, RHP, 2022, Tuttle: A lean and projectable 6-foot-2, 165-pound frame, Shatwell light up the gun for a 2022 sitting 87-88 T89 with the fastball. Though he had some command issues and probably some big nevers throwing in front of over 300 D1 coaches, his stuff was still impressive. The young right-hander settled into a 1-2-3 second inning and committed to Oklahoma State shortly after the game complete.

Jackson Holliday, SS, 2022, Stillwater: The 6-foot, 165-pound freshman showed elite skills all weekend. The left-handed hitter lead of this game with a double to the opposite field on the first pitch and would collect an RBI single up the middle in his second at bat. Holliday would come around to score both times. On the weekend, Holliday went 5-for-7 with 3 RBI and a couple of stolen bases while playing very clean defense on the other side of the ball.
‘22 SS Jackson Holliday (@PBR_Oklahoma) continues to show well as one of the better players in the class. Pitch recognition is advanced for the age. Finds the barrel every time. Much more strength on the way. Impressive all weekend. #PBRFutureGames pic.twitter.com/YgPt9zVlSY

Cayden Brumbaugh, 2B, 2021, Edmond Santa Fe: Brumbaugh is a name we have known as an elite player in OK for years now, but he put his name on the national map this weekend. In this game, the right-handed hitter showed off his sound swing posting one hit and stole two bases, swiping 5 bags on the weekend. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound middle infielder was not the most physically imposing infielder at the future games, but you would never know it looking at his measurables, which show an advanced blend of strength and speed. These measurables play up in games.

Game 3 Standouts vs Team Arkansas/Kansas
Payton Tolle, LHP/1B, 2021, Bethany: Possibly the biggest surprise at this year’s future games. After sitting in the low 80s at a previous event this summer, the 6-foot-6, 230-pound muscular left-hander jumped on the mound and ranged 85-89 mph and showed some feel for changeup and curveball as well. Tolle tossed a scoreless inning, punching out two.
On Saturday, 2021 Payton Tolle (@RolleTolle49) a 6-foot-6 230 pound LHP from @BethanyBaseball ranged 85-89 with the fastball. A big jump from the low 80s he had previously showed. pic.twitter.com/VDh0HGWiol

Ty Hammack, OF, Deer Creek, 2021: The 5-foot-11, 185-pound muscular right-handed hitter took a few games to get on time, but once he did, the results were impressive. In his last at bat against Lousianna, Hammack hit a deep double to the opposite field. He picked right back up against very good arms from Arkansas/Kansas flying out on the warning track and then doubling off the wall, both to the left. Hammack shows the tools to stick in center field at the next level and be a middle of the order bat.
