PBR OK strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.
This winter, PBR OK will continue highlighting some of the top ranked and uncommitted players in the 2019 class as they prepare to enter their senior seasons. Today, we take a look at a long and projectable two-way player from the NOAH Home School program.

Scouting Report
2/11/17
A 6-foot-5, 190-pound long limbed frame with wiry strength that will continue to fill out. Works from a simple, slightly up-tempo delivery. Arm action has a slight stab in the back, quick and loose, high-3/5 slot. Fastball has late arm-side run, 79-80 mph, has been up to 83 mph. Slider shows late 11/5 shape, with tight spin and late action, 70-72 mph. Changeup is thrown with full arm speed, sits 71-73 mph, consistent fade. Curveball has 12/6 shape with good depth, 66-68 mph. All four pitches are consistently in the zone. Offensively, a right-handed hitter, middle-opposite field, line drive approach. Hits from an open, balanced, athletic stance. Uses a small load, small stride, short to the baseball, stays inside the baseball, high finish, some pop, 90 mph exit velo. Defensively, soft hands, flashes athleticism, especially on the slow roller play. Throws from a low-3/4 slot, 81 mph across the infield with accuracy.
2/4/18
A very projectable, long, and athletic 6-foot-5, 195-pound frame with lots of room to add size and strength. On the mound, works from a controlled and smooth delivery that he repeats will. Arm action has moderate length in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot, very loose, fluid, and easy. Fastball keeps it plane, sitting 82-83 mph and touching 84. Curveball shows big 11/5 shape with tight spin and excellent depth, 69-71 mph. Changeup has consistent sink, 71-73 mph. Well advanced feel for the zone with all three pitches. Overall, Merrill’s projectable frame, loose arm actions, and bloodlines all point to a big velo jump coming in the near future. A prospect for high-level schools to follow for sure.
6/6/18
A long and projectable 6-foot-5, 195-pound frame with some strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from a controlled delivery with a moderate leg kick before striding to the dish and finishing to the first base side. Arm action has length with a quick change of direction at the bottom of the arm stroke, coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball sits 83-85 mph with arm-side run and some tilt. Curveball has 12/6 shape with depth. Slider has 10/4 shape with some tight spin. Changeup is still developing at 74-75 mph. In the game, showed projectability.
A 6-foot-5, 195-pound projectable frame with wiry strength and plenty of room to add more. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an open, upright, and relaxed set-up with rhythm in his hands. Uses a moderate leg lift and hand pump load before launching his hands with elite bat speed on a flat path to contact with a high finish. In BP, shows a middle to pull approach, mostly flat with some lift and pop, mostly barrels, 94 mph exit velo. Runs a 6.88 second 60. Defensively, shows clean and quick actions at first base. Throws with multiple arm strokes coming through multiple slots with accuracy and arm strength at 83 mph across the diamond. In the game, went 0-for-2, but hit a couple curveballs hard in the game.
