STOCKTON, CA. - The 2019 MLB Draft was completed on June 5th and it was to turn our attention to the 2020 class at the Northern California ProCase. A select group of players were selected to participate in this exclusive event geared toward high level collegiate and draft prospects. Players were put through a pro-style workout with various stats/data recorded during the workouts. Here we categorize and list stats gathered from the event.

60-yd Dash:

Players were able to run a full, laser-timed 60 yard dash in the workout from a base-stealing start position. It should be noted the 60 was run on artificial turf. Most players elected to run twice.

Exit Velocity (wood bat):

Offensive players took live BP on the field (3 rounds of 6 swings) and prior to the BP session they warmed up in the cage with some soft/front toss before taking swings off a tee with a radar gun reading the exit speed of the ball off the bat. Each player used wood in both the live BP and exit velocity station.

Positional Velocity - Infielders:

3rd and 1st basemen worked out from their respective positions while MIF's all worked out at SS where they were able to show off their glove skills, actions, arm strength, carry, and accuracy. They also turned double play balls to shows hand quickness/ability. Below are the recorded infield velocities.

Positional Velocity - Outfielders:

All outfielders took ground balls from RF with throws to 3rd base and home plate to show off their approach, carry, accuracy, and arm strength. Below are the recorded outfield velocities. Each player made three throws to 3rd base and three to home plate, in two separate series of throws.

Positional Velocity - Catchers:

Catchers showed off their footwork and catch/throw skills with pop times to 2nd base. Below are the top recorded catcher velocities. Each player performed two series of three throws.

Catcher Pop Times:

Max FB Velocity:

Pitchers each faced three hitters in a live scenario on the field. They each got a complete warm-up in the pen and then a standard eight warm-up throws on the main mound before facing hitters. Below are the top fastballs for each pitcher. NOTE: LHP Kyle Harrison only threw an 18-20 pitch pen session on the main mound, as he had not faced live batters since the end of the regular season. His top velocity was 90 mph in the workout but that is NOT his max, as we saw 93 mph in the spring and know of 94 mph recently. His stats are not listed but video is available to view.
