NorCal Player of the Week: Jake Fields

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA - As teams around the region continue to navigate around less than awesome weather in the early portion of the season, there continue to be exciting match-ups and big time performances by big time players. Last week one of those match-ups was Bellarmine traveling out to the Sacramento area to face Oak Ridge. Oak Ridge won the game on the strength of an outstanding pitching performance.

As such, congratulations to senior RHP Jake Fields of Oak Ridge High School (El Dorado Hills), the NorCal Player of the Week based on his outstanding performance during the week of Feb. 27-March 4.

Fields, a participant at the 2022 NorCal ProCase and a signee with Long Beach State, was unhittable on the mound as his Oak Ridge Trojans defeated the Bellarmine Bells 9-0 on Saturday, March 4th. The power right-hander went 5.0 IP, giving up 0 H, 1 BB, 0 R, while punching out the first 11 batters of the game.

Simply send weekly details/stats into our scouting staff by Monday and look for our Diamond Notes article that will highlight top performers who weren't selected for Player of the Week but are deserving of recognition.

The more information you give us, the better... name, position, grad year, B/T, height/weight, college commitment (if applicable), along with the weekly stats. Please also include anything notable, such as the caliber of competition the player faced, the game circumstances that were affected, etc.
