TINLEY PARK, IL - The Tigers got their season off on the right foot on Tuesday, much to the script of what Tigers will likely live by this year - pitching, defense and manufacturing runs.

RHP's Brady Corrigan and Brady Miller combined for a three hit shutout to blank the Thunderbolts in their season opener.

Senior ace, Corrigan, got the start and pitched like an ace. The Arizona State commit went 4.2 innings scattering three hits and striking out six. Corrigan appeared to be just playing catch with his battery mate at 88-89 mph early in the contest with a swing and miss curveball which drew all six of his strikeouts.

Junior Brady Miller picked up Corrigan in relief for 2.1 innings of no-hit ball. Miller matched Corrigan's performance, striking out four all by way of his 82-85 mph painting the outside corner, three of his four punchouts came looking.

The Tiger offense kicked off with a Sam Jones two RBI single in the fourth, proving to be enough for the dominant pitching. Andrew pitching unraveled in the sixth leading to four runs aided by four free passes in the inning.
