The No. 1 Class AA Cicero-North Syracuse HS took care of business Wednesday night defeating Auburn HS. Theetge (CNS) worked five innings striking out five for the win. Christian LaLomia (CNS) went 2-3 with two RBI’s.

Arlington HS ranked No. 7 in Class AA started the season off right with a win over John Jay CR Wednesday night.
Ackley (Arlington) was strong in his first start of the year going six innings allowing three runs to earn the win. Joey Assenza (Arlington) was 3-4 as the dish for Arlington HS.
North Rockland 10 White Plains 1
WP: Eric Sandusky
The No. 15 in Class AA North Rockland HS defeated White Plains HS Wednesday night.Sandusky (North Rockland) was dominate in his first varsity start. The sophomore went five innings allowing one hit and one earned run in the win. Brandon Martinez (North Rockland) went off at the plate going 2-4 with three RBI’s.

Kings Park HS gives East Islip the No. 16 ranked Class AA team their first loss of the season in a non-league matchup Wednesday night.
Votypka (Kings Park) fired five scoreless innings for the win while striking out seven. Donovan Hunt (Kings Park) went 2-3 at the plate.

WP: Joel Torres
George Washington HS the No. 4 ranked team in NYC squared up with Poly Prep HS Wednesday night in NYC.
Torres (GW) worked five innings to secure the win. Wesley Rodriguez, one of the top players in the State, went 1-3 at the plate with a home run and worked two scoreless innings in relief.

Monsignor Martin’s No. 1 ranked team St. Joseph’s squared up with Lancaster HS Wednesday night.
Howard (St. Joseph’s) got the win on the mound striking out ten batters in five innings of work. Matt Ruggiero (St. Joseph’s) drove in a pair of runs at the plate.

WP: Brandon Michaud
The No. 7 ranked Class C team Thomas A. Edison topped Spencer-Van Etten Wednesday night.
Michaud (TAE) worked five strong innings striking out seven for the win.
Tyler Toccia was 2-3 with two RBI’s.

The No. 6 ranked Class B team West Hill HS took care of Marcellus HS Wednesday night.
Walsh (Westhill) worked six innings strking out 13, while allowing two hits and no earned runs. Chris Coates (Westhill) went off at the plate going 2-3 with three RBI’s.
