Nebraska Fall Review- Instant Analysis

Prep Baseball Report's NE Fall Review took place on Sunday, October 30, 2016. The event was held at Ultimate Baseball Academy in Omaha, NE. The event featured prospects from Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota from the 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 classes who showcased their talents in front of our scouting staff. 

+ 2017 Nebraska commit, Jamie Young, showed loose arm action, life on the fastball, with an above avg. breaking ball. Young topped out at 89 mph during his bullpen session.

+ Class of 2017 right handed pitchers Cameron Wynn and Thomas Webster both touched 87 mph with their fastballs. Wynn (6-3, 178-pound) and Webster (6-9, 195-pounds) both have projectable frames and use their leverage to work on a downhill plane. Both seniors are uncommitted at this time but should catch some eyes of college coaches in the near future.

There were a number of great individual performances this year at the NE Fall Review; we have broken down the individual statistics below.

As we drill down into the statistics:

+ 11 players ran sub-5.1 40's.
+ 14 ran sub-4.2 home-to first times.
+ 14 players recorded 80+ mph exit velocities
+ 5 players recorded 76+ mph infield throws
+ 8 players recorded 76+ mph outfield throws
+ 3 catchers recorded 70+ mph throws to second base
+ 4 catchers recorded sub-2.1 pop times
+ 10 pitchers were 80+ mph on the mound
