Saturday January 7th we hosted the Northwest Arkansas Open Showcase at Perfect Timing in Springdale, Ar. The event was a solid event with some high end talent in attendance.

The average position player velocity was 79. 28. 2019 OF/RHP Blake Adams lead all players with an 89 mph from the outfield. 2018 MIF/RHP Connor Clark led all infielders with 81 mph. The average exit velocity was 81.5 mph with 2017 CIF Kolby Arnold leading having the highest velocity registering a 95 mph.

2018 MIF/RHP Connor Clark, 2019 Jackson Huskey, and 2020 Sam Golden had solid days as position players in their class. Clark displayed how well rounded a player he was, putting up solid numbers in all areas and looked very competitive on the mound with a fastball working 80 – 83 with a feel for his secondary pitches. Huskey impressed during batting practices showing a compact swing with bat speed and balance through extension. Golden is a physical presence for a 2020 with advanced bat speed and feel to hit.

There were several quality arms in attendance, including 2018 RHP Connor Noland and 2018 RHP Miller Pleiman. Noland, showed advanced pitchability working consistently in the strike zone at 85 mph, locating his breaking ball consistently with strikes. Pleiman was impressive locating down in the zone at 84-86 mph with late life through the strike and showing a feel for three pitches.
