NC Power 25: March 27, 2023
March 27, 2023
PBR Scouts of North Carolina have been on the road and pouring through box scores over the 1st two weeks of the North Carolina High School season getting to know the players and teams in 2023. Below, we update the North Carolina Power 25.
For the March 27, 2023 release, we begin to see movement across the Top 25. East Forsyth remains at No. 1 with Wake Forest solidified at No. 2. TC Roberson enters the Top 5 ahead of their week at USA Baseball's National High School Invitational.
Five teams make their debut in the 2023 Power 25, beginning with Hickory at No. 17, off to a 9-0 start to their campaign. Lee County, Ardrey Kell, South Brunswick and Southern Wayne also see their way into the rankings with solid starts to the year.
With 5 teams coming into the rankings, 5 teams leave. Myers Park fell out from No. 11 after being swept by Ardrey Kell. Cary continues to play in tight games but a 4-7 record, even against good competition removes them from the Power 25. Reagan was swept by Davie and Orange split two conference two-game series with Williams and Western Alamance. Providence, the defending 4A State Champions also bow out with a 4-4 start that has seen them play unevenly to start the year.
PBR Scouts will continue to follow all of the action daily through our Inside the Box blog as well as being on the road and in person to see as many teams from across North Carolina as possible.
