After drilling down into our google analytics we have compiled a list of the ten most visited Kentucky profiles on the Prep Baseball Report website in 2014. Over the coming days we will continue to count down to the end of the year with a look at those profiles that were most viewed.
The 6-foot-7, 210-pound RHP graduated from Boyle County HS in 2014 and was on the college recruiting radar early thanks to his big, projectable frame, but he was topping out at 87 mph as a junior. That kind of velocity won’t catch the eyes of professional scouts, but Miniard took a huge step forward in the summer of 2013 and shined on the showcase circuit. He sat 90-92 at the Area Code Games tryout for the Midwest and also pitched well at the Under Armour All-America Game. Miniard, who committed to Western Kentucky early, was the lone Kentucky high school player drafted in June when the Cleveland Indians selected him in the 8th round of the MLB draft. He signed with the Indians and pitched in rookie ball in the Arizona League this summer.
