After drilling down into our google analytics we have compiled a list of the ten most visited Kentucky profiles on the Prep Baseball Report website in 2014. Over the coming days we will continue to count down to the end of the year with a look at those profiles that were most viewed.
The athletically built 6-foot-4, 185-pound Louisville features an 89-91 mph fastball that touches 92 on occasion. Thompson works off his fastball well, and his slider shows promise of being a go-to offering in the future, as he generally throws it with two strikes to put away a hitter, At the Tournament of Stars, Thompson struck out the side in his second inning of work on sliders of 78, 79 and 80 mph. Thompson, ranked No. 1 in Kentucky's 2015 class and No. 16 in the PBR overall rankings, should have no problem drawing a contingent of pro scouts to see him pitch this spring for Christian Academy of Louisville. He is signed with the University of Louisville. Thompson's profile was viewed more than 4200 times in 2014.
