Prep Baseball Report hosted the MoKan Summer Open on June 29th at Mac N Seitz's training facility.   The event was a pro-style workout of 32 players coming from both Missouri and Kansas.  Although the event was smaller in numbers it was not small on talent with multiple players posting some impressive numbers on the day.  You can click on the player's name to access their individual player profile.  Today we take a look at the leaders in data collected by Trackman and Blast Motion.

The top exit velocity recorded by Trackman belonged to Austin Neuweg finishing just shy of triple digits at 99.19 mph.  Chase Brock came in right behind him the 2022 class at 97.92 mph showing some real strength at contact.  Easton Rose posted the top exit velo in the 2023 class at 93.27 mph with Cooper Hudson leading the way in the 2024 class at 88.72 mph.

Cooper Hudson also posted the top bat speed metrics at an impressive 72.90 mph in the 2024 class and across the event.  Tommy Lapour had the top bat speed metrics at 72.80 mph in the 2023 class with Collin Dobson leading the way in the 2024 class at 70.10 mph.  Austin Neuweg had the fastest hands at the event and in the 2022 class at 26.80 mph.  Gavin Smith had the top hand speed in the 2023 class at 25.10 mph and Stefan Pennington leading the way in hand speed at 21.60 mph.

Kona Hudson had the top rotational acceleration at the event and in the 2022 class at a really impressive 35.10 g's of force.  Austin Neuweg came in right behind him at 32.20 g's of rotational force.  Caden Carter topped the charts in the 2024 class at 24 g's with Gavin Smith topping the charts in the 2023 class at 22.70 g's of rotational acceleration.
