HIGH SCHOOL DRAFT 100 PROSPECTS
NONE
OTHERS TO WATCH: RHP/3B Luke Mann (Vianney HS, MO) can run his fastball into the low 90s, but works mostly at 87-88 mph with run. He is a legitimate two-way prospect with power at the plate. OF Christian Franklin (Rockhurst HS, MO) can fly, posting a 6.5-second 60-yard dash at the Super 60 in February. He started off a bit slow this spring, but his bat was heating up by the end and he hit home runs in back-to-back at-bats in his district championship game. RHP Nick Schmidt (Holt HS, MO) stands at 6-foot-3, 205 pounds and has been up to 94. LHP Cody Hacker (Holt HS, MO) pitches from a high-3/4 slot with a compact, repeatable delivery. He has touched 92 on occasion and commands a slider with late 2/8 break in the mid 70s. RHP Braedyn McLaughlin (Staley HS, MO) has a big frame and shows arm strength with a fastball on a downhill plane at 90. He also shows a 12/6 breaking ball at 71-72. LHP Tyler Martin (Webb City HS, MO) has some deception to his delivery and works at 87-88, touching 91. SS Brett Hammit (Nixa HS, MO) has a physical frame at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds with serious pop at the plate. He has a quick bat and slightly uphill path. RHP Sam Grace (Francis Howell North HS, MO) is tall and lean with a quick arm. He has been up to 94, mixing in a 77-79 breaking ball and 80-82 splitter. SS Cam McMillan (St. Thomas Aquinas HS, KS) is a bit of an enigma. He is athletic and the ball can jump off his bat, but the raw tools have not translated to game play. LHP William Dennis (Blue Valley Northwest HS, KS) was up to 90 last summer, but pitched more in the mid 80s this spring. LHP Peyton Carson (Shawnee Heights HS, KS) can run his fastball into the high 80s. LHP Trae Robertson (Hickman HS, MO) has a projectable frame, but is recovering from Tommy John surgery in December. He is committed to Missouri.
