Missouri Player of the Year: Brayden Luikart

Prep Baseball Report is excited for the return of Player of the Year Awards, presented by Big League Chew, after the 2020 season was cut short and 2021 generated some incredible individual moments and performances throughout Missouri. As the spring high school season comes to a close, Prep Baseball Report is excited to announce one player who emerged ahead of the competition at all levels in the state. This player has been selected not only for their outstanding statistical numbers, but also for their overall effect on their high school program.



Brayden Luikart


 The two-way talent helped lead his team to a third place finish in the  Missouri 4A state tournament. Luikart let the way both offensively and on the mound posting eye opening numbers throughout the season.


Brayden Luikart all-around performance, as well as the impact he has had on Lafayette (St. Joseph’s), has earned him the 2021 Prep Baseball Report Missouri Player of the Year honors.


Brayden Luikart has been selected by the staff of Prep Baseball Report of Missouri. The team of PBR area scouts who covered the high school baseball season throughout the spring selected Brayden Luikart amongst a strong group of candidates from across the state. The Prep Baseball Report staff has been diligently scouting and covering games at diamonds across the state this spring to bring parents, athletes and fans the most comprehensive coverage of amateur baseball across the United States. The dedication and coverage allow Prep Baseball Report a credible way to identify the top athletes each year who best represent the state of Missouri.
