Scouting Report:
Payne is a 5-foot-9 155-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. Payne has an 84 mph positional velo with a quick exchange and release. He has loose arm action, an over-the-top arm slot, and makes accurate throws, Payne posted one of the top 60 times at the Underclass Invitational in June with a 6.78. He has an exit velo of 82 mph. At the plate, he starts from a balanced position and has a long stride, gets slightly uphill in shoulders, but has loose hands, and middle-top-opposite field approach. Payne has showed and upward trend in each event he has attended.

This one-of-a-kind event will feature the best uncommitted Class of 2017 prospects from our 20-plus state coverage area. The Future Games will take place on July 30 - Aug 1 (Thursday-Saturday) at Grand Park, a state-of-the-art 22-field baseball complex located in Westfield, IN, just north of Indianapolis. The Prep Baseball Report Future Games is the premier summer scouting event for Class of 2017 prospects and select 2018 prospects. Last year, more than 110 colleges from all over the country were in attendance.
