Farmington 8 Lakeville South 2
Winona State commit Parker Holmstrom threw a gem on Monday leading Farmington over Lakeville South 8-2. Holmstrom went 7 innings striking out 12, walking 1, and allowed 2 hits and 0 earned runs. Sam Wilson, Bobby Eckert, Austin Martinsen and Christian Groves each had 2 hits in the victory.
Holy Family 7 Orono 5
Ben St. Peter and TJ Truso each had 2 hits to lead Holy Family past Orono 7-5. Anthony Tavella and Logan Kinsel were each 2-3 for Orono in the loss. Charlie Lacy picked up the complete game victory scattering 8 hits, 1 walk, 5 runs (2 earned, with 4 strikeouts.
Prior Lake 7 Eastview 5
Jacob Hitz and Nick Vaage each had 2 hits and Nick Hanson was 1-3 with a home run and 2 RBI's to lead P.L. over Eastview Monday. Lucas Pumper and Lawson Zenner combined on the mound to allow 9 hits, 5 runs (3 earned), with 2 walks and 8 strikeouts. Eastview's Jacob Wilson was 2-4 with a run scored and 2 RBI's and U. Minnesota commit Cole McDevitt was 3-4 with a run scored and 2 RBI's.
Chanhassen 9 Maple Grove 8
Chanhassen scored 6 runs over the final 3 innings to beat Maple Grove 9-8. Nick Smith was 2-2 with 4 runs scored and 2 walks, Jack Mattson was 2-4 with 3 RBI's, and U. Kansas commit Ty Denzer was 2-4 with 2 runs scored, 2 RBI's including the game-winning RBI in the bottom of the 7th. Hunter Even threw well in relief going 3 innings allowing 3 hits, 1 run, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts.
