Only two days away from the Midwest Future Games and today we are spotlighting Brendan Meissner from West De Pere HS. Meissner is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound two way player with a highly athletic build. The right hander has been throwing well this summer as his fastball has been up to 87 mph.
Meissner’s upside might be on the mound but he shows a high level of athletic ability in the field as well. He shows soft hands and a strong arm across the diamond.
On the mound Meissner works from a high ¾ arm slot with a clean arm action. He flashes sharp action on his breaking ball with feel for three of his pitches. His fastball has been up to 87 mph this summer with late action. Meissner shows the ability to work down in the zone as well.
