On July 18, Prep Baseball Report-Missouri held the Mid-Eastern Missouri Open Showcase at Ronsick Field in Washington, Missouri. Over 30 players on the 2021-2018 classes attended.
We have broken down the event position-by-position, taking a look at the pitchers today. Player profiles have been updated with video, running times, throwing velocities and profile picture. Players are listed in alphabetical order.
Player's profiles have been updated with profile pictures, videos and stats from the event. Coaches will have new profiles to add their dashboard on ScoutPlus and players will be able to update information on their profile with ProspectPlus.

PITCHERS
Joe Hackmann RHP / Washington, MO / 2020Hackman is a 6-foot 190-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class. Hackman comes from a high three quarters arm slot, throws slightly across body, throws with regular effort, showed command of three pitches, fast ball at 74-76 mph, both sides of plate, curveball has gradual 12-to-6 shape, 58-62 mph, change up at 65-69 mph, near fastball arm speed, some with late sink, simple and repeatable delivery, repeats. |
Samuel Hurayt RHP / Lutheran St. Charles, MO / 2019Huryat is a 6-foot 180-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class. Hurayt has a high three quarters arm slot, accelerates down the mound, loose arm action, throws slightly across body with some effort, releases out front, repeats delivery, strong frame, athletic, fastball 83-85 mph, high number of strikes, commands entire zone, breaking ball has 12-to-6 shape, some with late and sharp break, throws for strike, throws change up with fastball arm speed, late run, down in zone, 79-81 mph. |
Garrett Juergens RHP / Sullivan , MO / 2019Juergens is a 5-foot-9 147-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class. Juergens has a high three quarters release, throws three pitches for strikes, small bounce to come set, smooth tempo and rhythm in delivery, repeats, in line stride down mound, fastball at 80-83 mph, sharp breaking 10-to-4 breaking ball, mostly down in zone, change up as occasional late run, 74-75 mph, controllable with feel. |
Brian Cole Krieger 2B / Lafayette, MO / 2020Krieger is a 6-foot 155-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class. Krieger throws with some effort, over the top release, in line down the mound, hands raise and lower with leg lift, fastball at 75-78 mph, some with cutting action, change up at 68-71 mph, throws for stirke, some with late run, breaking ball with 11-to-5 action, 62 mph, showed knuckball at 64-66 mph. |
Davie Pound OF / Rolla , MO / 2018Pound is a 6-foot 210-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class. Pound is strong bodied, over the top release, throws slightly across body with regular effort, repeats delivery, slight downhill plane, fastball has slight running action, 78-81 mph, showed command of breaking ball, early 12-to-6 action, 64-69 mph, controllable change up at 69-70 mph. |
Braden Smith LHP / Gasconade County R-2, MO / 2019Smith is a 6-foot-3 180-pound left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class. Smith has a high three quarters release, some rotation at top of leg lift, controlled delivery throwing with regular effort, drop and drive type delivery, all pitches have movement, fastball at 77-79 mph, some with late run, breaking ball has 1-to-7 shape, bottom of the zone, late action, change up at 69-71, throws for a strike, late sinking action. Showing increases across the board from last showcase. |
Grant Stephens SS / Fort Zumwalt South, MO / 2019Stephens is a 6-foot-3 180-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class. Stephens has an over the top release, throws downhill, in line stride down the mound, throws with regular effort, keeps arm high before release, smooth tempo, commanded fastball, 78-80 mph, breaking ball has gradual 11-to-5 break, 60-64 mph, change up at mostly 69-71 mph, occasional sink. |
Riley Stephens 1B / Fort Zumwalt South, MO / 2019Stephens is a 6-foot-3 230-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class. Stephens throws with regular effort, high three quarters release, in line down the mound, controlled delivery, fastball at 70-73 mph, breaking ball has 12-to-6 action, gradual break, 59-60 mph, change up at 65-69 mph, near fastball arm speed. |
Camron Swaringen RHP / Wright City, MO / 2019Swaringen is a 6-foot-1 240-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class. Swaringen has an over the top release, slight pause at top of leg lift, in line down the mound, fastball has some tilt, 73-74 mph, curveball has gradual 11-to-5 action, 58-61 mph, change up at 66-69 mph, fastball arm speed. |
Christopher Vogt RHP / Warrenton, MO / 2018Vogt is a 6-foot-1 240-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2018 class. Vogt’s fastball worked 83-85 mph, touching 87 mph, strong bodied with arm strength, keeps ball high in delivery, over the top release, throws with some effort, some late running action on fastball, breaking ball has 11-to-5 shape, 73-75 mph, occasional sharp and late action, change up at 73-75 mph, some with late run. |
Cameron Weaver RHP / Washington, MO / 2019Weaver is a 5-foot-11 170-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class. Weaver has an athletic delivery, accelerates down the mound, loose arm action, high three quarters release, in line down the mound, 74-78 mph, late running action, breaking ball has some depth with 11-to-5 action, 63-68 mph, late, change up at 68-72 mph, slight arm side run. |
