On July 18, Prep Baseball Report-Missouri held the Mid-Eastern Missouri Open Showcase at Ronsick Field in Washington, Missouri. Over 30 players on the 2021-2018 classes attended.
We will break down the event position-by-position, taking a look at the catchers today. Player profiles have been updated with video, running times, throwing velocities and profile picture. Players are listed in alphabetical order.
Player's profiles have been updated with profile pictures, videos and stats from the event. Coaches will have new profiles to add their dashboard on ScoutPlus and players will be able to update information on their profile with ProspectPlus.

Outfielders
Wesley Collins OF / O'Fallon Township , IL / 2019Collins is a 5-foot-11 185-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Illinois’ 2019 class. He ran a 7.34 60 and a 5.14 home to first. He has an exit velocity of 88 mph. At the plate, balanced stance, short in line stride, controlled leg lift, contact to pull side, some lift, flashed power, loose hands with quick bat speed, athletic build. In the outfield, 78 mph positional velocity, loose high three quarters arm slot, works behind the ball, clean transfer with momentum to throw, throws have carry, mostly accurate. |
Justin Congiu OF / Lafayette , MO / 2019Congiu is a wide shouldered and strong 6-foot-1 177-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2019 class. He ran a 7.25 60 and a 4.61 home to first. He has an exit velocity of 94 mph. At the plate, consistent hard contact mostly to middle and pull side, power to pull side, can go oppo gap, tall thin stance, hands walk away from stride, aggressive and quick swing, hits with leverage. In the outfield, 80 mph positional velo, throws left, high three quarters release, athletic exchange and throws, smooth actions, plays through the ball, throws have carry, mostly accurate. |
Spencer Hunter OF / St. Francis Borgia, MO / 2019Hunter is a 5-foot-11 200-pound left-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2019 class. He ran a 7.63 60 and a 5.12 home to first. He has an exit velocity of 75 mph. At the plate, balanced stance, rhythm in hands, quick leg kick, in line stride, aggressive swing, gap to gap approach, flashing pull side power, level path through the hitting zone, high finish in hands. Kayden Lewis OF / Hickman, MO / 2018Lewis is a 6-foot 185-pound left-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2018 class. He ran a 7.46 60 and 4.81 home to first. He has an exit velocity of 82 mph. At the plate, starts in a tall and thin set up, minimal load, slight lift in bat path, body stays under control, quick bat speed, mostly pull side contact during batting practice.
