A complete game shutout from Austin Merritt would be all West Oak needed in this one. Merritt scattered 4 hits and 2 walks through 7 innings, punching the ticket for West Oak into the 3A State Championship Series.

The West Oak offense provided enough support for Merritt.  The first run came in the 1^st inning on a Balk. West Oak would add to the lead with single runs in the 3^rd and 5^th innings.  Austin Stephens and Kurt Rogers earned the RBIs that would seal the game

West Oak will play a best of three series versus Gilbert HS, who also swept their best of three series this week.  The full schedule and location of games will be out later this week.
