James Fenton: This is a guy with athletic actions that can flat out move. Starts with a quick initial first step and turns that into a glide across the field. Surprised many with his 6.47 60 time and followed that up with a 6.5 sixty as a number like that usually leaves you wondering. Rangy outfielder that will turn some heads as speed kills. 

Eli Hinton: Athletic frame to go along with strong arm talent and plus bat speed at the plate. Led both hitters and position players in multiple categories. In the field, showcased range with smooth actions and a quick arm that flashed 84 mph across the diamond with accurate throws. At the plate, has some of the quickest hands and showcased the highest Trackman exit velocity at 96 mph. Made solid line drive contact with a gap-to-gap approach. 

Brett Whitten: Had probably the most impressive round of BP hitting multiple balls out on a large college field. Very pull happy as he has plus power to the left field side. Can make jumps in his game as he starts to utilize the entire field and trust his hands. Led the entire group with a 75 mph average bat speed, as well to go along with 25 G’s of rotational acceleration, 5.64(kW) of power, and the quickest hands at 26 mph. Overall had a great showcase at the plate and will develop into a nice power bat from the right side. 

Collin Tobin: Showcased the best pure stuff on the mound with a multitude of pitches that showed true pitch coupling and shapes on Trackman. All this to go along with true pitchability and presence for what he is doing. Looked very advanced for a 2025 riding his fastball velocity max to 86, while sitting in the 82-85 mph range. Not only did his fastball have natural life to it, but he spun it really well, as he was the only arm to average over 2000 rpm’s on the heaters to go along with a max spinned fastball at 2272. Showed true feel for three pitches with velocity and the ability to use them. 

Jordan Gaskin: Just coming off his freshman season, this kid showcased some true potential on the mound and should be an arm to watch over the course of the next few seasons as he develops his body and mechanics. Velo is currently not eye popping but he does possess a strong frame with plenty of upside as he works to refine his body and learn to use his entire lower half in synch with his upper body. The fastball does play regardless, based off of the “HOP” that it has with it. HOP is something I like to compare to ride or carry and it shows on the Induced Vertical break of a true 4 seam fastball. Basically the ball carries its line out of the hand longer to home plate from hand, and will have hitters swinging under his fastball. Gaskin shows true spin efficiency riding his vertical movement on the heater to 20 inches on average, which is really really good. Not only did that show really advanced, but he was able to throw strikes consistently with it.
