Richmond Burton (26-7) blasted Morrison 12-0 in five innings. Wright State-bound LHP E.J. Trapino (12-0) fired a two-hitter with nine strikeouts for the Rockets. The future Panther had an inside-the park homer and was a double shy of hitting for the cycle. Trapino drove in four for R-B.
Winnebago
Rock Falls (25-12) beat Winnebago 10-5.
Benedictine University Sectional
Gordon Tech slipped past Immaculate Conception 5-4. Walther Lutheran bombed UIC-Prep 12-0 in five innings.
Coal City Sectional
Herscher (31-7) defeated Aurora Christian 7-4 as the Tigers struck for four runs in the bottom of the sixth breaking up a 3-3 tie. Tiger Kyle Burton had the big blow for Herscher with a clutch two-run single. Tiger senior LHP Matt Webber (8-2) struck out five of the six outs he recorded to pick up the win.

No. 15 Rockford Boylan (28-8) defeated Rockford Guilford 6-1 behind Titan Danny Appino, who had two hits for Boylan.
Elgin Larkin
South Elgin (19-12) outlasted Elgin Larkin 7-5 behind a clutch relief performance by Storm senior reliever Eric Stazy (5-3). With Royal runners on second and third and one out Stazy picked up a strikeout for the second out of the inning. After a walk to load the bases, Stazy ended the game with a flourish by striking out the final Royal hitter to end this thriller.
Huntley
No. 24 Crystal Lake South (27-9) defeated Dundee-Crown behind a complete-game performance from junior RHP Tyler Hall (8-1). Gators Nick Severino and Jake Byron each plated three for the FVC-Champions.
McHenry
Cary Grove (22-14) beat Round Lake 8-0.
Schaumburg Sectional
Lake Park
Bartlett (18-19) scored its two runs on a groundout and a wild pitch, but that was more than enough for Hawk ace Robert Sadowski (6-3). Sadowski fired a seven-hitter at top-seeded Geneva (26-8), as Bartlett won 2-0 on Wednesday.

Willowbrook (21-15) knocked off DVC champ Wheaton North 6-1.

St. Charles East (24-10) defeated Hoffman Estates 5-0 behind a six-hit shutout from Fighting Saint ace Kyle Manske (8-1). Junior Johnny Hondlick led the Saint attack with three RBI

St. Charles North (24-12) slipped past Conant 4-3 on a wild pitch. Junior Jake Johannsmeier and Jake Smiley led the North Star attack with two hits each. North Star RHP Carl Formento (6-2) picked up the win on the mound.

No. 5 Maine South (30-5) rolled past Lincoln Park 10-0 in five innings behind a one-hitter from senior LHP John Forsythe (6-2). Hawk senior 3B Keenan Kelly had three hits and three RBI, while Rocky Saavedra chipped in with two hits and two RBI.

Highland Park (17-19) stunned No. 19 Glenbrook South 6-0 behind a two-hit shutout from Giant senior LHP Jake Rubin (8-4).The Giants won the game with a huge six-run seventh inning. Giant senior Alec Van Cleve had a big two-run single in the HP explosion in the seventh.

Glenbrook North (25-11) rolled past Buffalo Grove 10-1 behind a six-hitter from Spartan junior RHP Brad Margolin (9-2). Northwestern-bound C Jason Scholl had two hits and two RBI for the CSL-North champions.

No. 7 St. Laurence (29-6-1) defeated Proviso East 10-3 behind junior Kevin Smith. Smith had three hits and drove home two for the Vikings on Wednesday in River Forest.

Morton shocked CCL-White champion De La Salle, 5-1 behind a five-hitter by Mustang senior RHP Joe Kadela.

No. 6 Mount Carmel (30-5) pounded Proviso West 15-1 in five innings. Caravan junior DH Tommy Hayes homered and had two hits and three RBI to lead MC. Fellow junior Justin Gonzales continued his hot-hitting with three more
ribbies for MC.
St. Rita
No. 16 St. Rita (23-12) smashed Curie 11-1 in five innings behind a two-hitter from sophomore Mike Costanzo (7-2). Junior Anthony Ray led the Mustang attack with a single and a triple, with three RBI.

No. 3 Providence (28-7) blasted Eisenhower in five innings.

Marist (25-11) crushed TF South 15-3 in five innings.
Homewood-Flossmoor
Homewood-Flossmoor (21-11) rallied past Shepard 6-5 on a walk-off single by Viking senior Pat Sheehan.
Sandburg (23-7) defeated Thornton 6-1 behind Eagle senior C Dan Rizzie. Rizzie singled and hit a two-run bomb to lead the Eagles past the Wildcats. 6-foot-4 senior Brent Jurceka (6-3) had a solid six-inning stint for Sandburg.
Lincoln-Way North
No.2 Lincoln-Way North (31-5) destroyed Brooks 18-1 in five innings on Wednesday night. Phoenix senior Jack Troike, had a two-run double and a two-run triple to lead the Phoenix attack. Fellow senior Dom Hartman had a two-run triple as well.
Lockport (24-12) slipped past Stagg 7-6, on Porter senior Josh Altman’s clutch two-run double in the bottom of the sixth.

Minooka (23-13) blanked Plainfield Central 3-0 behind Bellarmine-bound LHP Josh Jiminez (9-2). Jiminez allowed five hits and struck out 11 Wildcat hitters in his six shutout innings of work. Indian senior Carson Neushwander went deep with a man on and was followed by a solo shot by Indian Max Brozovich in the first inning and Jiminez did the rest for Minooka.
Pekin
Moline (25-8) slipped past Bradley-Bourbonnais 3-2 in eight innings.
Belleville West
No.11 O’Fallon (28-7) rallied past Collinsville 4-3, scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh to send Panther nation home happy at Blazier Field.

No. 8 Plainfield North (32-4) defeated Romeoville 6-2 behind University of Notre Dame-bound Joey Cresta (9-0). Cresta fired a two-hitter at the Spartans with 11 strikeouts. Tiger junior Zach Zyburt led the Tiger attack with three hits and three RBI.
Downers Grove South
Downers Grove South slipped past Plainfield East 8-7 on Wednesday.
Waubonsie Valley
No. 17 Hinsdale South (29-5) blasted West Aurora 8-0 behind a shutout from Hornet SIU-Edwardsville bound RHP P.J. Schuster (9-0). Schuster also had a two-run homer to help himself. Hornet junior D.J. Deolitsis led the Hornet attack with three hits, including a solo home run and two RBI the West Suburban Gold champions.
Bolingbrook
Neuqua Valley (29-7) blanked Hinsdale Central 7-0.

Mahomet-Seymour Sectional
Normal West (29-7) romped past Lincoln 11-4 behind junior C Adam McGinnis. McGinnis singled home two runs and hammered a solo-shot to lead the Wildcats past the Railsplitters.
West winning pitcher Ryan Speller (3-1) singled and tripled a pair of runs and allowed one hit in his solid four inning performance. Junior Alex Jefferson continued to tear the cover off the baseball with three more hits.
Sycamore Sectional
Kaneland
DeKalb (18-15-1) ousted defending Class 3A state champions Kaneland 9-3 behind Barb senior SS Brian Sisler. Sisler broke up a 2-2 tie in the fifth with a clutch two-run single to give DeKalb a 4-3 lead. In the bottom of the sixth, Sisler cleared the bases with a three-run double to put the game in the win column for DeKalb. Kaneland bows out at 24-11.
Freeport
Freeport outslugged Belvidere North 21-9.
Hampshire
Burlington Central (25-10) defeated Marengo 8-4 behind Rocket senior Ray Hunnicutt. Hunnicutt tripled and homered to lead the Rocket attack. Rocket ace Riley Jensen improved to 8-2 on the mound with the win. Rocket junior Mike Scott nailed down the save and had two hits and two RBI for the Big Northern east co-champions.

Nazareth
Nazareth (26-9) smashed Westinghouse 11-0 in five innings. Roadrunner sophomore Tim DalPorto had two hits and two RBI for Nazareth. Freshman Pete Minella had 10 strikeouts and allowed the Warriors one hit.

Glenbard South (25-10) destroyed Noble Street 16-1 in five innings. Raider Doren Blake continued his assault on the baseball with a pair of bombs and a single, driving home four Raider runs.

St. Joseph (20-17) defeated Chicago Phoenix 22-0 behind a one-hit shutout from Charger senior RHP Trayvon Johnson. Johnson struck out 10. Charger Brian Powers had a pair of hits and four RBI to lead the St. Joe attack.

North Suburban Prairie champions Vernon Hills (27-8) crushed Senn 14-0 in five innings.

St. Viator (20-15) beat Northtown 20-0 as Lion senior Tim McElroy fired a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts.

FVC-Fox champion Grayslake Central (27-8) smashed Mather 10-0 in five innings.

No. 1 Joliet Catholic Academy (28-7-1) defeated Kennedy 5-0 behind junior John Chignoli’s four-hit shutout. Freshman Nick Dalesandro plated a pair for the Hilltoppers and junior SS Chris Tschida had two hits and an RBI.
Crete-Monee
Lemont (23-9) bombed Rich East 11-0 behind a combined perfect-game from University of Illinois-bound LHP Tyler Jay (8-3) and Indian Jake Terrazas. Indian senior Jeff Worsech continued his hot-hitting with two hits, including a RBI double and Mark Tokarski added a solo-bomb for Lemont.
