After getting out to as many games and workouts as possible, we are proud to announce our first edition of the state rankings. Matt Mervis takes the top spot for the state of Maryland. The talented hitter for Georgetown Prep has already been getting buzz in the draft world with power potential from the left side and athleticism not to mention his ability to be in the low 90’s on the mound. He was the first Maryland player to make the overall rankings, and not much has changed in that time to the Maryland State rankings.
There has been a few players that have shuffled in the state rankings since the 2016 overall ranking have come out. New players and commits have come into the scene as we cover the land and give you the best coverage of high school baseball in the state. Here is a sneak peak at the top ten.
